Fabulous bungalow on 209 Wellesworth Drive in Etobicoke was just listed by Katherine Barnett. Original hardwood floors on the main floor as well as three good sized bedrooms and a five piece bathroom. Fully finished basement with separate entrance, fourth bedroom, three piece bathroom, cold cellar and 3 large rooms. This home has a large lot, double car garage and is close to transit, parks, schools and highways. Open house Saturday November 23 and Sunday November 24 from 2:00-4:00 pm both days.
This Sunday November 17th is Milton’s Santa Claus Parade. Come downtown with the family and enjoy Milton’s volunteers and various clubs and businesses welcome Santa to our town. The parade begins at 1:30 so be sure to arrive early enough to get a spot so you don’t miss any of the action!
Be sure to plan for the weather! Bring umbrellas, mittens and coats.
Make sure everyone is comfortable. Bring chairs, blankets and cushions. It can seem like forever waiting for the parade to start and most of all, waiting for Santa!
Pack snacks. It seems that children get the munchies while waiting so bring some snacks or have some cash on hand. There are always vendors selling things from popcorn to cupcakes and of course hot chocolate.
Don’t forget an unwrapped toy to help a local child receive the Christmas they deserve.
It shouldn’t be so, but the bathroom is often the most neglected room in the house design-wise. It should be bright and welcoming, warm and relaxing. Here are some ideas to help give your bathroom a quick and simple facelift:
• Too often, in small bathrooms, there’s just one small light shining from above, throwing more shadows than light. Changing the light fitting or bulbs to create more light is a start; better, is installing wall lights on each side of the main mirror.
• Simply replacing the shower curtain can make a big difference. Depending on your personal style, you can hang a splash of colour or try for elegance, or an illusion of elegance. There are many fabrics to choose from.
• Changing the showerhead doesn’t always require a plumber. Fit a rainforest head for a generous all-over soak: a power-boost spray will wake up your senses. Or you can keep the family happy with a multi-function showerhead that can also help to reduce your energy costs.
• New towels can dramatically change a bathroom. Fluffy towels in white and neutral colours will bring a hint of spa into your home. If there are children around try vibrant colours and over-the-top patterns.
The typical powder room doesn’t have a lot of space – just enough for the essentials. But it’s an opportunity to create a small showplace on an affordable budget.
